Kerala’s education initiatives are aimed at preparing students for a rapidly changing knowledge economy, but the central challenge is connecting learning to opportunity.
Modern classrooms and Centres of Excellence can improve access to equipment and teaching resources. They will have greater value when students also receive career guidance, exposure to research and realistic pathways into further study or work.
Families should be able to see how new institutions differ from existing schools and how success will be measured. Public education cannot rely on branding alone.
The most useful reforms are those that expand opportunity beyond a few campuses and help students in every district make informed choices.
